Scientific Advisory Board of the University of Vienna
Targets
As to its future strategic orientation, the University of Vienna takes opinions and perspectives of external scientists into account that complement the strategic notions of the university members. Among other measures to ensure this "external view", the organisation plan of the University of Vienna provides for the establishment of a Scientific Advisory Board of the university and of Scientific Advisory Boards of the faculties and centres.
Members
The Scientific Advisory Board consists of seven independent and internationally renowned researchers. The senate and the university board each selected two persons out of the Rectorate's proposal. These four members proposed three further persons to be appointed.
