The Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs has the following responsibilities:

• further development of the range of degree programmes (bachelor’s, master’s)
• teacher education; cooperation schemes with university colleges of teacher education
• matters relating to studying and teaching
• information and services for (potential) students and graduates as well as the active positioning on the national and international educational market; in cooperation with the Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs in matters relating to doctoral programmes
• further development of controlling in the field of studying and teaching, measures to promote study activities and graduations
• admission of students and all related matters, except for admission to doctoral programmes
• contribution to quality assurance in the area of teaching
• continuing education
• Alumni affairs

The Vice-Rector for Infrastructure deputises for the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs.
